This may be my new favorite breakfast spot I loved the specials menu. Especially the biscuits and gravy, probably the best I've ever had. A little peppery but with a hint of sweet like a maple sausage symphony of flavors that hits all the right notes. Biscuits were warm and soft like a hug from your grandmother. My husband had a waffle with a subtle crunch that was covered in farm fresh strawberries. We sat at the bar for fast service and got to see all the dishes as they came out of the kitchen. A really sweet lady took our order. Fun diner style vibe with a gift shop.

This is a ok restaurant but the sign that says free bird chai is not real and the lady says that it's not free. But the food is good and the restaurant itself is ok and the service is good they are fast at making food.

Great restaurant for breakfast or lunch. Food was fresh and flavorful. Service was good but seemed to be a little abrupt. You can see the lake from the new restaurant on Route 50. Plenty of parking. Overall value was good.

The staff here were welcoming very kind and overall had the most greatest attitude ever I felt like I was literally at home, the food was delicious as well. Macaroni and cheese was a little mid, I still loved it. So please if you're ever in Lake Tahoe stop by here it's a literal must do, and the place is also kid friendly so it's an amazing place to take the family. overall five stars I wish I can give more but that's all they allow me to.

FOH did a great job on keeping the drinks filled, orders, etc. Inside was neat and clean, we were seated promptly. My first visit to this location. Had no idea it was the OG! Fries were great, side of Jalapeño bacon had a good taste, but really could have been better, it was limp/flacid. Needs to be at least half crispy. Peanut Butter Bacon Burger was good, but overcooked compared to what I ordered by a mile. Fresh produce, great buns, plenty of cheese, maybe just a lot less peanut butter so it doesn't cancel out the burgers taste. Just a thin spread will do!

This was my first time ever seeing this particular Cafe and while we were in Tahoe, we found three more so it must be a local chain. They had delicious Belgian waffles with pecans, baked into the bread and strawberries that were freshly cut on the top with whipped cream. Our service was very quick and I felt bad for the server because it seemed as if he was working all the tables on the front end and there was another server working the breakfast bar section. He was really quick and very attentive considering he had so many tables to wait on. I loved all the windows towards the exterior and there was a great view of the lake as well as the outside area. Our breakfast was filling and delicious! Not to mention the Chai was freshly made next door at the coffee shop! So I grabbed an iced chai with oatmilk as we left to explore The Lake! Hee:

We were seated right away and it was fun to see the food being made while sitting at the counter. If you want a table, you will most likely have to wait a bit to be seated. My husband had an egg white omelette with veggies and a side of hash browns. I got "the usual" which included a biscuit and sausage gravy, two eggs, and hash browns. It was the perfect breakfast before a boat cruise.

This is a super busy place no matter what location you go to for Red Hut. The Ski Run Blvd location is extremely busy as it's the closest breakfast location to a multitude of hotels and condos on the South Shore of Lake Tahoe. The wait was around 45 minutes and once we were seated we were waited upon right away. The service was actually pretty amazing considering the volume of business this restaurant gets. The servers were all nice as pie too which is 180 degrees different than their Carson City location...! The place has a nice Tahoe look to it and can be a little noisy from all the commingled chitter chatter in the background. Our friends all enjoyed the place as well. I just wish they'd bring back the blueberry streusel French toast...! It was a COVID casualty and hasn't re-appeared since, but was absolutely amazing...! Bring it back!!! (hint hint)
